The city of Zaragoza
You may know cities in Spain like Barcelona, Seville or Madrid but have you ever heard about Zaragoza?
Zaragoza is the fifth biggest city in Spain! It’s situated in the northwest, pretty close to Barcelona, Madrid, and Bilbao. From Zaragoza is a spot where you can basically go to so many cities in a few hours!
Moreover, then its good location, in Zaragoza there is a lot of wonderful architectural places to see such as the casa solans, the Moorish Aljafería palace, or the Museo de Zaragoza.
If you like art and especially Francisco de Goya, Zaragoza is THE best place to see his work. So make sure to stop by the Collection Ibercaja Museum Zaragoza Goya.
While you stroll around the city you will probably pass by those two beautiful cathedrals the Basílica de Nuestra Señora del Pilar in a Moorish style and the Catedral del Salvador de Zaragoza in a Romanesque and Mudejar styles!
And while you are there don’t forget to taste the wonderful Spanish food and the specific plate that are unique to this area! You definitely need to try plate-based of pork loin sausage, cured ham from Teruel, the cod al ajoarriero and lamb.
And finally, if you are in Zaragoza during the month of October you will be able to experience the Fiestas Del Pilar! This is the biggest event of the year, there is parades, flowers, concerts and street art! So many good things to do in Zaragoza.
