INTERNSHIP IN IBIZA : PLACES TO VISIT
Located in the archipelago of the Balearic Islands, south of Majorca and Minorca, the island of Ibiza offers a total change of scenery just a few hours from the European continent. You will find the human warmth of Spain and its delicious gastronomy, but also magnificent villages and natural landscapes to discover. The small plus point of Ibiza is, of course, its turquoise beaches, where it is very pleasant to sunbathe from May to October.
Known the world over for its festive atmosphere at sunset, the island has something for everyone.
Here are the things you should not miss on the island:
Eivissa, or Ibiza, the island’s capital, is usually the first stop on an Ibiza vacation. Discreet and charming, you can stroll leisurely through the white streets of its old town in search of a favorite place to spend the morning.
The salt mines of Ibiza have made the island famous for decades. Among the landscapes of Ses Salines, you can discover dunes and marshes, but also some beaches, far from any civilization and therefore perfectly authentic.
Cala d’Hort and Es Vedra
The rock of Es Vedra fascinates locals and visitors. It is said to have a special magnetism that makes compasses lose their bearings and is the origin of many paranormal legends. It also appears in Homer’s Odyssey,
Comte Cove
Cala Comte is one of the most beautiful natural landscapes that can be discovered in Ibiza, especially at sunset. It is a fabulous beach overlooking an islet, located in front of Ibiza. You can enjoy a cocktail at the beach bar. Cala Comte will give you the opportunity to enjoy a magnificent space and a 360° panoramic view around the sea.
The island of Formentera
Ibiza’s neighboring island, Formentera, usually attracts visitors for its wild beaches and the incredible color of its waters. It is a sparsely populated island where you can relax and enjoy a meal at a beach restaurant with your feet in the sand.
Es Canar and its hippie market
The small village of Es Canar has been a hippie meeting place for decades. So much so, that people come to this pretty village especially to stroll through the aisles of the Punta Arabí market on sunny days.
Es Canar is a symbol of Ibiza.
Artists exhibit their creations every year and there are concerts and various objects for sale (incense, mandalas, dream catchers) on site. It is nice to discover this place to enjoy its particular atmosphere.
Sol d’en Serra
Sol d’en Serra is a hidden treasure, which can be found by venturing to the northeast of the island. You will find yourself on the edge of a panorama situated between two headlands that jut out into the Mediterranean.
Playa d’en Bossa
It would be impossible to talk about Ibiza without describing its nightlife: its open-air parties, its long dance floors. But on the island, there is one place in particular where the best DJs in the world gather every summer to get the party started: Playa d’en Bossa.
