Spain Internship- tourism

Introduction

The Animafest Wine Routes Internship in Spain offers a nice opportunity to students and fresh graduates to spend some time soaking in the rich cultural tapestry and viticulture heritage of Spain. Through this program, the participants will be involved directly with the wineries, take part in the process of wine production, and popularize wine tourism in some of the most well-known wine areas across the country.

At Animafest, we are excited to introduce our  internship programme in Spain in 2025. This internship programme is designed to offer participants a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience and expertise in the hospitality and tourism industry, in key areas such as kitchen, bar and restaurant, reception, and entertainment.

ANIMAFEST - company which provides internships in Spain - tourism

In the framework of the Animafest program, interns involved in this area of work can cooperate with wine producers and tourism boards in the area, organize and guide wine tours, assist in marketing and promotion of wine routes, and guarantee customer service at a high level to visiting guests. This work experience is gained through collaboration with experts locally and provides an in-depth knowledge of Spanish wines, popular varieties, such as Rioja, Ribera del Duero, and Albariño.

One of the critical elements of this internship involves developing marketing strategies to bring international tourists into the wine routes. In that respect, an intern will be responsible for developing promotional material, organizing social networking sites, and managing events that bring out a characteristic unique to Spanish wines and the beauty of vineyards. In this respect, there exists an enormous potential for acquiring hands-on experience for those seeking to pursue a career in tourism, marketing, or wine sectors.

Moreover, cultural exchange and language skills are emphasized in the Animafest internship. This opportunity enables many to improve their Spanish language skills, with a great exposure to locals and different tourists that come from all over the world. They will also learn much about Spanish culture and traditions—those very rites of wine and gastronomy.

An Animafest internship to the wine routes of Spain brings together practical skills, cultural immersion, and professional development. It is, therefore, uniquely such an opportunity where wine and tourism lovers can create careers and soak in the natural beauty and vibrant culture of Spain.

Internship in Spain - tourism

Spain is much famous because of its wine heritage, and there are several wine routes across different parts of the country that invite many enthusiasts. Here are some of the most popular wine routes in Spain:

La Rioja

Famed Tempranillo-based wines originating from this region include the depth and aging potential. Wineries are numerous, with tastings and tours offered to the visitors. Notable places for a visit include the Wine Museum in Briones and the medieval town of Laguardia.

Ribera del Duero

It is it which is synonymous with muscular reds based on the Tempranillo grape variety, and its wine route winds a path through old towns and new bodegas. Two of the main visiting spots along this route are the remarkable wine estates of Vega Sicilia and Emilio Moro. The extreme climate and large altitude in the region add to the strength and complexity of its wines.

Priorat

Situated in Catalonia, Priorat is a rugged, hilly region known for its structured reds, especially the Garnacha and Carignan-driven ones from llicorella, a soil rich in slates, which lend grip and minerality to the reds. The combination makes the route in this area breathtaking, and it is the entrance to a lot of the prestigious wineries—included, among others, on this list, is Clos Mogador or Scala Dei.

Penedès

Fomented in Catalonia, even the Penedès territory is famous for the bubbly Cava wines along with the still wines that are derived from a variety of other grapes like Xarel·lo, Macabeo, and Parellada. This picturesque wine area offers visits to historical cellars like Freixenet and Codorníu. Barcelona is a stone’s throw away, making it easily accessible to the wine enthusiasts.

Sherry Triangle

Andalusia has a region known worldwide for its special fortified wines: the Sherry Triangle, built by Jerez de la Frontera, Sanlúcar de Barrameda, and El Puerto de Santa María. This route is perfect for discovering—with wine tastings to accompany you—all the traditions of the traditional bodegas, explanations of the solera aging process, and refreshing dry Finos to delicious, syrupy sweet Pedro Ximénez envisaged.
