Students, who are currently studying in the fields of hospitality or business may be interested in doing an internship at a bar\restaurant in Ibiza. The internships are between three and six months and usually begin in May. Doing an internship during the summer is not only beneficial for ones developments, but also a great opportunity to explore Ibiza and make new friends.
Things to do in Ibiza
It is located in the Mediterranean sea and it is part of the Balearic Islands, the third biggest one. Due to its location it offers great views and beautiful sunsets on the beach. The island has a lot to offer. It has a rich culture and history dating back to the 16th century. Besides that, it offers great gastronomic experience and it is a home to some of the best nightlife locations. We recommend visiting Ibiza town, and exploring the fortress. You can also visit Es Canar, besides the hippy market there, it is a beautiful location surrounded by pine trees and beaches on which you can surf. If you want to experience the nightlife of Ibiza, San Antonio is the place to be.
Ibiza is famous for its great parting, including some of the most famous DJs, world class light shows, architecture and location of the clubs themselves is spectacular as well. In regards to beaches, each and every single one is unique and beautiful, however some of the more popular ones are S’Arenal Gros, Playa d’en Bossa and Cala Llyen. If you are already in Ibiza, you can visit some of the other Balearic Islands as well, since they also have a lot to offer.

There are many benefits of doing an internship. Firstly, you need to start from somewhere in your career. Doing an internship is a great start and in the future it will be easier to get a job. Also, by doing a job for a few months, you can get a feeling of what the industry is like and if that is actually what you would want to do in the future. It is needless to mention that new skills are learned, which can also be applied in daily life, if that is not the career you would like to follow. It is an opportunity to earn some extra money for yourself and make new experiences.
Even though you will be working, you are still at a beautiful location which you can explore in your free time. You can just relax by the beach or mingle with the locals on the busy streets, it is entirely up to you. During internships, the staff becomes closer and the potential for live long friendships is there. Overall, doing an internship has only positives to it and it prevents you from spending all summer long at home, being bored.
More about the internships we offer
The internships offered by Animafest Experience, are usually in between three to six months, beginning in May. They are paid, depending on the location and there is also the opportunity to get the Erasmus+ grant. Accommodation and meals are included as well. The language proficiency requirement in B1 for Spanish and B2 for English. For Ibiza, we are currently looking for interns for the bar\restaurant department. Some of the tasks the interns carry out are: taking orders, serving cold and warm beverages, making cocktails, provisioning, making sure the hygiene of the place is up to standard and many others.
