Internship 2022: Money-saving tips

Internship 2022: Money-saving tips

DO YOU HAVE ANY DOUBTS ABOUT THE EXPENSES YOU WILL INCUR DURING YOUR INTERNSHIP?

AT ANIMAFEST WE SHOW YOU HOW TO SAVE AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE DURING YOUR STAY IN SPAIN!

What would you say if we told you that by doing your internship with us you save on room and board? Sounds too good to be true, doesn’t it? Well, it’s time to believe it! Because the contracts with the employers we will connect you with will include both, so your expenses will be lower!

Now, we know that you will not have to spend on accommodation or food, but what activities can you do during your stay without spending a lot of money? What do we suggest you do?

Here are some options:

First tip:

As for a first tip, when you know your internship dates, get your tickets in advance; both the roundtrip flight and the excursions you have planned and don’t want to miss for anything in the world.

Don’t forget that…

On the other hand, you should keep in mind that your expenses will depend a lot on where you choose to do your internship; if you are in big cities like Barcelona or Madrid, you will probably spend a little more money than in smaller cities, but this does not mean that you won’t find cheap activities and even some for free!

Visits museumsinternship

As we said above, everything will depend on the place where you are, but like most places, there is a specific day, which is usually a weekday, where the entrance to the museums is free. Yes, you read that right, totally free admission. Without a doubt, we believe this is an option that you should not miss.

We will show you some examples of state museums in Madrid that you can access for free (so you can see that although it is a big city, you will also get great benefits): Archaeological Museum, Sorolla Museum, National Museum of Decorative Arts, National Museum of Anthropology, Museum of Romanticism, Cerralbo Museum and Museum of America.

A little bit of nature

Do you like nature and trekking? If your answer is yes, in Animafest we will recommend you 3 of the best trekking routes in Spain.

Schmidt Road, Sierra de Guadarrama, Madrid:

It is one of the most famous trails in Madrid! You should start the Schmidt Trail in Puerto de Navacerrada and finish it in the Fuenfría Valley, in the municipality of Cercedilla. Along the way you will appreciate a lush vegetation of wild pines, many of them centenarians.

It is perfect to contemplate the scenery at any time of the year. Would you miss it if your internship was in Madrid?

Route of Los Calderones-Hoces del Turia, Valencia:

It’s a really amazing place! The path started to be one of the favorites since, at the end of 2012, some wooden suspension bridges were installed that allow you to cross the Turia River. For this reason, at Animafest we consider it one of the best hiking trails in Spain. Can you already imagine what your days will be like if you do your internship in Valencia? We believe that you will never forget it (without forgetting that you will be walking along one of the most chosen routes by Spaniards).

Ruta de los tres ríos, Galicia

Do you want to breathe fresh air in the heart of Galicia feeling like a local? Take the Three Rivers Route, in the province of A Coruña, not far from Santiago de Compostela.

It’s a nature trail where you’ll find all kinds of flora and fauna! You will even be able to see beautiful waterfalls. We are sure you will take some beautiful pictures in this place.

Food:Internship

Yes, we said that you will not have to spend on accommodation or food, but surely your question is: if I feel like eating after hours, will I spend a lot of money?
We won’t lie to you, if you plan to eat caviar in your free time, you will probably spend some money. But we’ll show you 2 options (one sweet and one savory) that are easy and tasty to cook, or buy, that you won’t spend too much money on! (and besides, you’ll be eating traditional Spanish food).

Tortilla de papa: It is one of the simplest, but iconic and special dishes of our country, which is made with potatoes and eggs.

Churros: Perfect for breakfast or afternoon tea, they are especially tasty when paired with a cup of hot chocolate on a cold winter’s day.
