Spain is a beautiful country with many great views. It has mountains, rivers and of course the Mediterranean Sea. Spain also offers lots of historical sightseeings which contribute to the many great views. We have chosen five of the best rated views in Spain, for you to explore.

Montserrat

Montserrat is a mountain range near to Barcelona. It is only one hour away from Barcelona with a train. When the weather is very warm in Barcelona, the atmosphere in the mountain is cooler and pleasant. You can take a walk through the mountain and enjoy spectacular views. Montserrat is not only a beautiful landscape, but it is also an important religious place. The Benedict Montserrat Monastery was build in the 11th century and it was renovated in the 19th century. The monastery usually always had around 80 monks, currently having around 70. Besides the religious importance of Montserrat, almost all of Catalonia and on clear days the island of Mallorca can be seen from the top of the mountain.

Granada

Granada is the capital of the province of Granada, which is located in the autonomous community of Andaluisa. It is located in the Sierra Nevada mountain and four rivers pass through it. The spectacular view that is referred to when talking about Granada is from the Alhambra palace. It is a fortress built by the Arabs on the top of the Sierra Nevada mountain. It is one of the best preserved islamic monuments. Not only the fortress has great gardens and interior but it also offers a spectacular view from the fortress over the city of Granada, as well as a nice view of the mountains and forest.

Pueblos Blancos

Located in Andalucia, are the magnificent white villages. They are made up of many small buildings all painted in white. In the past, they used to be a farming villages, where young people would go in search of work. Nowadays, tourists and locals are enjoying the charm of the villages. You can enjoy the tiny streets, churches and beautiful flower squares. Some of the villages we recommend visiting are  Grazalema, Vejer de la Frontera, and Arcos de la Frontera. When looked from further away, the villages are said to make you feel like gravity does not exist.

Ronda

Ronda is a city located 105 kilometers away from Malaga. It is popular for the cliff it is located on, as well as the river which splits the city in two. It is declared a National Park. The location of the town is the reason why there is a great view from it over the Serrania de Ronda mountains. Ronda was under Islamic domination until 1485. Ronda is located 750 meters above sea level. From there the spectacular view of the mountains and river can be enjoyed.

Monte Igueldo

If you are located in  San Sebastian, taking the walk or the ride up to Monte Igueldo is worth it. There is also an adventure park at Monte Igueldo if you like to get your adrenaline up.
